Charlie and I spent a lazy Thanksgiving morning, he with his strawberry milk, and me with my hot tea...he wouldn't eat all day because he said he would eat at Grandma's house. The lazy morning was not such a good idea when i realized i still needed to workout, pack, get cleaned up and make my famous garlic mashed potatos. But, alas, we made it on time!
What would Thanksgiving be with out a round of mancala and Michael being silly?

My girl...oh, yeah, i had to make her famous mac and cheese too...okay, i only had to sprinkle on the bread crumbs and put it in the oven, but it made for one more trip up and down two flights of stairs. all good, happy to help...and the extra trip burned more calories for more turkey!

All that yummy goodness!

Three Bost Guys!

My little man!

Laurie and i and all of our kids...i have a feeling it will not be long before they are all taller than she and i!

Yes, Charlie requested to take a silly pic of us again!

After lunch Laurie and I headed North on 95 to visit my friend Tre in DC. Surprisingly there was no traffic! However, i think i talked to half my family on the way up just to keep myself from going into a turkey coma!

Tre told us to bring something nice to wear and he would take us out on the town...I don't know what prompted this, but it's pretty funny!

He took us to the oldest tavern in DC, er, i can't remember the name of it.

We were going to go to the W after dinner, but it was pouring down rain, and we didn't feel like getting in and out of the car again. Then we were going to go to karaoke somewhere in Clarendon, but it was closed, so, we came home and watched Pineapple Express, well, they watched it...i finally got my Thanksgiving siesta...that lasted till morning.

Gotta have a kissy pic!

So, Laurie left on Friday afternoon, and Tre and I took his boat out, and then docked at the National Harbor. Watched the very exciting Iron Bowl at the Gaylord's sports bar...then headed to see ICE!

Yeah, it was 9 freakin' degrees!

That's some Monumental Ice!

"Stop looking at me schwan."

A Brazilian girl who looks like Mariah Carey...she is a friend of Tre's friend...whatever...

It's like that poem about the grecian urn that i read in high school.

The best feeling in the world as a child; running down the stairs on Christmas morning, only, i grew up in a one-story house...oh well, you get it.

Yeah, we're on a roll...and, we're very coordinated with the locals...

Ahhhhhhhhh!

Awesome scene!
Merry Christmas!

The National Harbor Christmas tree...the wind was so bad, i thought it was going to topple! It was interesting sleeping on the boat, brought back memories from being in bad weather on ships.
Heading back to the marina...

I needed a break from my break...came home to E-time and Gator football!!!!!
