July 4th on the River

We had a great day celebrating our Independence on the Chickahominy...aka Snakahominy! Charlie was so ready to jump in, but i was not going in with him, nor was his father!

This was more like it! We rode all the way to where the chick meets the James. There is a nice, safe place to swim there! It was a rough ride out with all the other watercraft wake. A little sore from bracing myself during the hour long ride out...charlie and i came back on the boat!

Sparklers are fun!

We found some fireworks in a closet and had to set them off...who needs it to be dark!

Yeah, we set the lawn on fire!

We thought these were more sparklers, but, no, it was inscence...in the box with the fireworks...weird.
