We had a great July 4, 2008. We went to the river for a day of fun. Marty and Charlie had a blast fishing and riding on the jet skis. This was the first time Charlie has ever been on the skis.
Momma enjoyed being over-protective and highly anal about all the "fun" on the dock. I was able to get my little man to take a break just long enough to snap a quick photo.
It was a beautiful day; although we did get some rain and ended up having our sundaes in the house. It was so nice to spend the day with our loved ones.
TOMATO FESTIVAL 2008
We live in Hanover County Virginia and our biggest claim to fame, other than being the birth place of Patrick Henry..."give me liberty or give me death"...is our tomatoes. So, to celebrate the arrival of this luscious fruit we have a festival. It's big fun...petting zoo, pony rides, big slides, more kid rides, lots of vendors, and tomatoes, tomatoes, tomatoes...miss tomato festival, best dressed tomato...fried tomatoes, BLTs...it's tomato heaven!

Can you believe that I have lived in Hanover County my entire life and I have never been to the Tomato Festival? I'm sure that is some kind of a crime. I love your pictures!

Looks like you all had fun! We always tell people about how much we enjoyed your 4th celebrations at the river!
