Home to Florida - Day 5

We spent this day in St. Augustine and had such a wonderful time. We went to lunch at O'Steen's...home of the best fried shrimp anywhere...yum! Charlie LOVES shrimp, so he was in heaven.

After lunch we were off to the Alligator Farm...good times.

Volunteers, Bulldogs and Seminoles are all welcome...but you might not get out alive! Ha!

After spending time with the Gators we heading back across the "temporary" bridge of lions and took a carriage ride around town.

I LOVE this little town.

However, GO GATORS!!!!! We won 56-10 YAY!

Trip Home to Florida - Day 1

We left for Florida on Thursday night, August 28. We stopped at the Emporia Cracker Barrel and all got full bellies. I got Charlie changed into his jammies and we got settled into the car for the long drive.

It took us 12 hours to get there, it should take nine, darn road work in GA, but we arrived safe and sound at 5:45 am. Great job Marty! My dad was there to meet us as my mom is having to stay with her sister for the time being.

Charlie and Papa got up around 8:30, and I got up soon thereafter. I went for a nice long walk around Bryceville. It was so good to be home.

After we all got cleaned up and dressed we headed over to see Mimi at Aunt Merilyn's house. Mom (Mimi) and I were able to do a small bit of shopping, our favorite past time. I needed some newsunglasses as a cute little boy sat on my Oscar's. He brought me these and said that we could be same same...how cute is that. I had to have a picture, right there in TJ Maxx.

We went back to Aunt Merilyn's and all had pizza. It was a great day.

Back to the beach

We recently headed back to the beach for the weekend. Charlie has such a blast. "Grandmutter" , as Charlie says, and Grandaddy were there too.
We, of course, got caught in tunnel traffic...AGAIN. so we decided to get off the highway and grab some dinner. Here are some cute ones from our dinner at Outback.

On the elevator going up to the beach house.

We all had fun playing in the sand, learning to "surf" and relaxing.

We went to lunch at Ocean Eddie's on the pier...AWESOME fried fish and fries...my wrap was good too...do you think someone is sleepy?

There is a mini amusement park across from the pier that does not open until late in the day. Charlie is ALWAYS asking to go ride the helecopter; so, we promised him we would go after his nap. He took three rides and one ride on the slide...I don't know who was more frieghtened.

On Sunday Charlie tried his hand at boogie boarding, he did quite well. Althought he did get a small busted lip when he wiped out, but he's little trooper and got right back out there. Good times
